The JunctionX Lisbon 2026 is an international technology and artificial intelligence hackathon, free to participate in, taking place on the 10th and 11th of October at the Oeiras Campus of Instituto Superior Técnico.

With €20,000 in prizes, the event challenges teams of 1 to 5 students to develop solutions to real-world problems proposed by companies, while providing opportunities for learning, networking, and connecting with companies and professionals in the field.

The winning team will also have the opportunity to represent their university at Junction 2026, taking place in Espoo, Finland, from 13 to 15 November. It is worth noting that, in 2025, a DEI team won the national competition and represented Técnico at Junction.

Applications are open until 7 October.
