Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship
Técnico offers several initiatives to develop the entrepreneurial skills of its students and Professors.
There are initiatives promoted by Técnico’s Technology Transfer Office, notably the Lab2Market program and the TecInnov competition, which foster the development of innovative business ideas by leveraging technologies developed at Técnico. There is also the opportunity to participate in the European Innovation Academy, supported through a scholarship program.
These initiatives are complemented by activities promoted by student groups, such as TecStorm and BEE – BEST Entrepreneurship Experience.

Entrepreneurship at PIC1@LEIC
DEI promotes the entrepreneurial spirit of its undergraduate students through the PIC1 course unit. This initiative encourages an innovation-oriented mindset, equipping students with tools to transform technical knowledge into market-ready solutions with socioeconomic impact. The program culminates in the development of projects with a strong value proposition, suitable for submission to the E.Awards, the innovation competition of Técnico’s Technology Transfer Office, thereby strengthening students’ direct connection to IST’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
