DEI Students Participated in Junction 2025

Duarte Pereira da Cruz, Daniel Borges and André Pagaime, students from DEI, formed the team that won JunctionX Lisbon and traveled to Finland to participate in Junction 2025: Utopia & Dystopia, the largest hackathon in Europe.
The first edition of JunctionX Lisbon took place at TagusPark and brought together students and young professionals to tackle real-world problems proposed by leading companies and develop creative solutions in Artificial Intelligence (AI), finance, and society.
JunctionX Lisbon served as the qualifying stage for the team’s participation in Junction 2025: Utopia & Dystopia, which was held in Espoo, Finland. Junction 2025: Utopia & Dystopia was a hackathon that challenged participants to create technological solutions within defined time limits, exploring both ideal futures and dystopian scenarios, and imagining how innovation could shape each of them.
