On the 21st of February, students from the Agrupamento de Escolas da Mealhada visited DEI.

The visitors were welcomed in the new Software Engineering Lab, where they were able to closely explore the research carried out in the department.

Ana Carrasco, a DEI PhD student, addressed the topic “Social Robots” with practical examples, including the presentation of a robot used in research.

Regina Duarte, also a PhD student in the department, presented the theme “Serious Games,” featuring a game about mushroom identification that allows conclusions to be drawn about the influence digital suggestions can have on the user.

The session was supervised by Professor Sofia Pinto.
