The ICPC Southwestern Europe Regional Contest (SWERC) took place on the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd of November at the Técnico Innovation Center and was, once again, organized by members of DEI.

This is a programming contest for teams of three students, focused on solving algorithmic problems and practicing coding. As the name indicates, it brings together teams from countries in Southwestern Europe, Switzerland, and Israel.

SWERC serves as a qualifier for the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), which, for more than 50 years, has been the leading programming competition organized by and for universities around the world.
