The Técnico Innovation Summit 2026 (TIS 2026) took place on the 3rd of February at the Técnico Innovation Centre, with the participation of several DEI professors.

The event is the main annual meeting of the Instituto Superior Técnico innovation ecosystem, bringing together Research and Development Units, projects under the PRR and European programmes, Técnico spin-offs and the Rede de Parceiros do Técnico.

Regarding the participation of DEI professors, the panel discussion “Transição Digital da Inteligência Artificial e Ética” was attended by Miguel Mira da Silva; the session “Política de Inovação, Financiamento e Competitividade: da Investigação ao Impacto” was moderated by Arlindo Oliveira; Nuno Nunes spoke on the panel “Transição Digital da Inteligência Artificial e Ética” and, finally, Ana Teresa Freitas, current President of DEI, participated in the round table “Da Universidade à Startup: Superando o Medo do Empreendedorismo”.
