Arlindo Oliveira, DEI professor, took part in the “Prova Oral” programme on Antena 3.

Joined by João Marecos, Bernardo Caldas, Vera Lúcia Raposo, Pedro Santa Clara and Maria Loureiro, the DEI professor was part of a funny and light conversation about Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The topics discussed included the dangers of AI and fears about the end of humanity, the possibility of AI surpassing or replacing us, the safety (or lack thereof) in the current development of AI, and the dangers associated with the emergence of superintelligent (or super-stupid) systems.
