The 4th edition of the KPMG Merit Award in Cloud Computing and Virtualization, for the 2025/2026 academic year, was presented at a ceremony held on the 25th of September.

The event featured three students from the Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering (MEIC), Cristiano Pantea, Tomás Fernandes and Vasco Pires, who presented their projects to the jury.

Tomás Fernandes was selected as the winner of this edition.

The jury was composed of Professors Luís Veiga, Rodrigo Bruno and Daniel Gonçalves, and Engineer Alexandre Correia, KPMG Partner.

The ceremony also included the presentation of the award to the winning student and a donation from KPMG to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, aimed at improving teaching facilities.
