The Hitachi Merit Award in Data Analysis and Integration was presented today, the 28th of February, at the TagusPark campus to students Soraia Batista and João Rodrigues, both from the Master Programme in Telecommunications and Informatics.  

Hitachi annually grants this academic merit award to students who form the best group in the Data Analysis and Integration course of the Department of Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico.  

This year, the jury was composed of Professors Paulo Carreira (responsible for the course) and Helena Galhardas, as well as Engineers Duarte Teixeira (Director at Hitachi) and Mladen Milev (Senior Engineering Manager at Hitachi).

In addition to awarding the students, a donation was also presented to the DEI, received by its President, Professor Ana Teresa Freitas, to support the improvement of teaching quality.
