Google awards DEI Professor

Nuno Lopes, Professor at DEI, has been honored with the Google Research Scholar award.
The Google prize, worth $60,000 (approximately €55,000), recognized the utility of Alive 2, an automatic compiler verification tool.
The Google Research Scholar is a program aimed at supporting professors who develop projects in areas of interest to Google. In 2024, in the field of "Software engineering and programming languages," which includes Professor Nuno Lopes's project, only 2 awards were granted worldwide.
