The Merit Awards Ceremony took place on the 2nd of July in the Salão Nobre of Instituto Superior Técnico's Alameda Campus.

Following the welcome address and a brief presentation on the history of the awards, a round-table discussion entitled "Valorizar o Mérito, Desenhar o Futuro: O Impacto do Ecossistema Empresarial no Meio Académico" took place, featuring DEI professor Rui Prada.

The ceremony continued with the announcement of the award recipients and the presentation of the Merit Awards. The following DEI students were honoured:

• Prémio de Mérito BNP Paribas para o Mestrado em Engenharia Informática e de Computadores - Leonor Figueira
• Prémio de Mérito Celfocus em Engenharia de Software - Ema Ferrão e Guilherme da Silva
• Prémio de Mérito Deloitte em Arquitetura de Software - Alexander Lupatsiy e Linda Gündel
• Prémio de Mérito Deloitte em Ciência de Dados - Pedro Machado
• Prémio de Mérito Fidelidade – FidAward in Engenharia Informática e de Computadores - Diogo Antunes
• Prémio de Mérito NOS em Computação Paralela e Distribuída - Leonor Figueira
• Prémio de Mérito NTT DATA em Aprendizagem - Rodrigo Ramos e Bernardo Lopes

It is also worth highlighting that Miguel Lopes de Carvalho, winner of the Prémio de Mérito McKinsey em Cálculo Diferencial e Integral III, presented by the Department of Mathematics, is also a DEI student.
