In the next Wednesdays@DEI, we will have another session on an internal topic of general interest.

Title: DEI Visiting Committee: 2022–2025 review and DEI strategic ambition

Abstract: The DEI will be evaluated in 2027 by a Visiting Committee comprising Srini Devadas (MIT), Manuel Heitor (IST, DEM), and Rita Bento (IST, DECivil). In preparation for this evaluation, we will prepare the 2022–2025 self-assessment report. During this meeting, we will explain the purpose of the report and its format. We will revisit the recommendations made by the 2022 committee and present the actions already undertaken by the Department in response to them.

Additionally, we will share the plan approved by the CCP to strengthen the links between DEI and the Research Units, one of the recommendations made by the 2022 committee.

The second part of the session will focus on the future. We will revisit IST’s strategic priorities and begin jointly developing the DEI’s next strategic plan. To this end, each Department member will be invited to indicate, via a form, their five strategic priorities for the coming years. We count on everyone’s participation.
