Wednesdays@DEI: Talks, 17-12-2025

In the next Wednesdays@DEI, we will have another session on an internal topic of general interest.
Title: Innovation, Excellence and Collaboration: DEI’s path in 2025 and outlook for 2026
Abstract: The year 2025 was marked by essential structural advances for the future of the Department of Informatics Engineering. Under the motto “Innovation, Excellence and Collaboration Shaping the Future at DEI,” we implemented a wide range of actions that strengthened the Services Unit team, modernized administrative processes, defined good practices for collaborative governance, launched new institutional integration programs, and established plans to improve quality of life in the Department’s spaces. Additionally, we believe we maintained the normal operation of the Department without disruptions.
In this presentation, we will also look ahead to 2026, a year in which we expect to deepen connections with research units, continue investing in physical and computational infrastructures, develop a set of structural initiatives to reinforce teaching quality, and continue to promote a culture of collaboration and excellence. Following the “Our Culture: Changing the Chip” activity developed within D-DEI, this session aims to involve the entire DEI community in the path we are building together to establish the department as a national and international reference.
Speakers: Professor Ana Teresa Freitas, President of DEI; members of the Executive Committee; Services Unit team
