Title: Computer Science Education in the Age of AI: DEI Observatory

Abstract: Following the request made to each of the DEI’s five scientific areas to reflect on the use and impact of AI tools in education, and on the contributions that resulted from that process, a departmental synthesis document has been prepared and will now be presented and discussed. The document identifies what is specific to our context in comparison with engineering education in general, and proposes lines of action regarding assessment, curriculum, departmental policy, and infrastructure. The presentation serves as the starting point for a broader discussion to be held within the Department, with the aim of turning these guidelines into concrete actions.
