Applications are open, until the 26th of October, for the 5th edition of the “Vencer o Adamastor” Award, promoted by INESC in partnership with the newspaper “Público”.

With a prize of €20,000, the award recognises innovative work by young scientists carried out at institutions based in Portugal in the fields of electrical engineering, computing, and related areas. The work should demonstrate scientific excellence and the potential to lead to developments with a positive impact on society.

DEI already has a winner of this award among its alumni: Pedro Orvalho, winner of the 3rd edition.
