The MEMEX project will be adopted for the Bauhaus of the Seas

The MEMEX project, which involved the participation of Valentina Nisi and Nuno Nunes, both Professors at DEI, aimed to promote social cohesion through collaborative tools that provided inclusive access to tangible and intangible cultural heritage while facilitating encounters, discussions, and interactions among socially excluded communities.

The Bauhaus of the Seas project, which includes the participation of Professor Nuno Nunes, a Full Professor at DEI, brings together scientists, artists, architects, and local communities in the search for solutions to environmental problems in the ocean.

The MEMEX project was concluded in November 2022, and as the project approached its end, the MEMEX team began considering how to extend its legacy. The possibility of new collaborations emerged, and from this perspective, the MEMEX platform will be used in the New European Bauhaus project, specifically in the Bauhaus of the Seas, using digital storytelling to connect coastal societies with their shared history with the sea.
