Cybersecurity Challenge PT 2023

The activities of the Cybersecurity Challenge PT 2023 began on the 15th of April. The aim of these activities is to identify, train and attract young national talents in the areas of cybersecurity and information security, which are part of a wider education and training program, that aims to attract secondary school and higher education students to these areas from an early age. These events are part of a set of initiatives with the purpose of selecting a team of 10 students (TEAM Portugal), which will represent the colors of the country in the 8th edition of the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC).

Until the final selection test, a preparation and training activity will be carried out on May 13, 2023.

To find TEAM Portugal, a face-to-face competition will be held simultaneously in Lisbon and Porto on June 3rd, and the chosen team will be announced on June 16th at the closing session of the C-DAYS 2023 conference. This team will represent the country in the 8th edition of the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC), this year organized by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), with the support of ENISA and the European Commission. The ECSC will take place in Hamar, Norway, in October.

The CSCPT is an initiative that brings together the National Center for Cybersecurity (CNCS), the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), the University of Porto (UPorto) and the Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Information Security (AP2SI).

Once again, Professor Pedro Adão of the Computer Science and Engineering Department will be part of the organizing committee.
