Técnico alumnus wins APRP Award for “Best Master’s Thesis”
Gonçalo Faria won the 2022 edition of the award for his master's thesis in Data Science and Engineering.
The Técnico alumnus Gonçalo Faria (Master’s degree in Data Science and Engineering) received the 2022 Best Master’s Thesis Award from the Portuguese Association for Pattern Recognition (APRP) for his master’s thesis «Differentiable Causal Discovery under Latent Interventions», supervised by professors Mário Figueiredo and André Martins.
The annual APRP award aims to reward works in the field of Pattern Recognition. APRP is a non-profit association that aims to promote scientific advances in the areas of pattern recognition.
In March, Gonçalo Faria won the Professor Luís Vidigal Award with the same work.
