Íris Damião, a student in the PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, is one of the finalists selected for the 3rd edition of the “3 Minutos de Tese” (3MT) competition.

The 3MT academic competition at the Universidade de Lisboa aims to develop unique skills among doctoral students, such as communicating complex ideas in a simple and creative manner to diverse audiences in just 3 minutes, using only one slide.

This year, 12 qualified for the final event, 5 of whom are IST students. Last year’s winner, Catarina Botelho, was also a PhD student at Técnico.

The final event will take place at the Pavilhão de Portugal on the 22nd of May, 2025.
