DEI Professors participate in i.Talks event dedicated to cybersecurity

On the 15 th of May, another edition of i.Talks took place. The event was held at the  Pavilhão Central of the Alameda campus of the Instituto Superior Técnico and brought together teachers and researchers from institutes connected to the Técnico ecosystem and representatives from Galp, the event's partner company.

Given the theme of Cybersecurity, several DEI Professors were present. Miguel Pupo Correia identified the main challenges in this field. Miguel Mira da Silva discussed internal security, risk in critical infrastructures, and fighting fake news. Miguel Pardal explored the interaction between IoT (Internet of Things) devices, route verification, and the use of Blockchain. Pedro Adão addressed system security and resistance to anonymity. Ricardo Chaves spoke about protocol and device security and Nuno Santos discussed file recovery and techniques for detecting hidden files.
