DEI Professor participated in the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit

The Artificial Intelligence Action Summit took place in Paris on the 10th and 11th of February, with the participation of DEI Professor Arlindo Oliveira.  

The event brought together heads of state and government, leaders of international organizations, CEOs, representatives from academia, non-governmental organizations, artists, and members of civil society to discuss the present and future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its regulation.

At the conclusion of the summit, reinforcing a commitment to a common approach based on the sharing of science, solutions, and standards, participants announced more than one hundred actions and agreements for a trustworthy and accessible AI, following three key pillars:  

- Providing everyone with the means to benefit from the AI revolution;  

- Promoting the development of sustainable AI;  

- Strengthening the international AI regulatory system to make it more effective and inclusive.
