From July 7th to 9th, the final bootcamp for the European team's preparation for the International CyberSecurity Challenge (ICC) will take place at IST (Pavilhão de Informática II, Alameda campus). The ICC will be held in San Diego, United States of America, from August 1st to 4th, 2023.

In this initiative, Professor Pedro Adão from the DEI participates as the coach of the european team, which also includes a portuguese player in the final selection, Bruno Mendes, a student of the Master's Degree in Computer Engineering. 

The opening session of the event, on the morning of July 7th, was attended by Engineer Lino Santos, Coordenador do Centro Nacional de Cibersegurança, Demosthenes Ikonomou, Head of Operational Security at ENISA (European Union Agency for Network and Information Security), Thibaut Roisin, Accenture Security Executive Leadership & Engagement lead, Professor Rogério Colaço, President of Instituto Superior Técnico, and Professor Miguel Pupo Correia, President of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IST.
As part of this event, the portuguese team will also be present at IST on July 8th and 9th to participate in a preparatory competition for the European CyberSecurity Challenge, which will take place in Hamar, Norway, from October 24th to 27th. All other national teams and the European team will also participate in this event.
