With the Doomsday Clock currently set at just 89 seconds to midnight, Arlindo Oliveira, Professor at DEI, published an article in the newspaper Público questioning whether it might be time to open channels of dialogue between people who think differently.

The Doomsday Clock is a metaphor created by scientists to represent how close humanity is to a global catastrophe, symbolized by midnight. It is currently adjusted annually by experts from the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.
