The European Team, led by Professor Pedro Adão from DEI as coach, and also featuring Bruno Mendes, a student from the Master's in Computer Science and Engineering at IST, as a participant, was crowned champion for the second consecutive time at the International Cybersecurity Challenge. The team from Oceania secured the second place, with the Asia team attaining the third position.

The Cybersecurity Challenge aims to showcase emerging young talents in the field of cybersecurity and promote awareness, skill development, and career opportunities through a variety of games and challenges.

The event took place in San Diego, United States of America, from August 1st to 4th, 2023, bringing together 7 teams: Africa, Asia, Canada, Europe, Latin America, Oceania, and the United States of America.
