Retired Full Distinguished Professor from DEI, José Tribolet, has been awarded a Medalha de Mérito Científico.

This distinction aims to honor national or foreign individuals who, through their high professional qualities and fulfillment of duty, have distinguished themselves by their valuable and exceptional contribution to the development of science or scientific culture in Portugal.

The Medal was awarded during the Encontro Ciência 2024.
