Joaquim Jorge, a professor in the DEI, has been awarded the title of IEEE Fellow 2025, being the only Portuguese individual to receive this distinction this year.

The title of IEEE Fellow is an annual honor reserved for members of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) who stand out for their contributions in the fields of engineering, science, and technology.
