The Prémio de Mérito KPMG em Computação em Nuvem e Virtualização, now in its 3rd edition, distinguished Rafael Sargento, a MEIC-T student.

The event, held on the 30st of October at the IST Congress Center, featured pitches from six students who excelled in the Cloud Computing and Virtualization course: Daniel Carvalho, João Diegues, Laura Cunha, Martim Pereira, Rafael Sargento, and Rodrigo Correia.

The winner was selected by a jury composed of DEI Professors Luís Veiga, Rodrigo Bruno and Daniel Gonçalves, as well as Engineer Alexandre Correia from KPMG.

The ceremony also included the participation of Dr. Ana Nunes (HR Manager at KPMG), Professor Pedro Amaral (IST Vice-President for Corporate Interface, Innovation and Entrepreneurship), and Professor Ana Teresa Freitas, President of DEI.

In addition to the prize awarded to the winning student, DEI also received a donation aimed at improving the quality of teaching.
