João Cardoso, a Master's student in Computer Science and Engineering (MEIC), won the Prémio de Mérito Axians em Otimização e Algoritmos 2024/2025, standing out for his academic performance and the practical application of the knowledge acquired in the course unit.

The award ceremony took place on the 16th of May in the Sala de Reuniões of the Pavilhão Central at the Alameda campus of Instituto Superior Técnico. Present at the event were Professor Pedro Amaral, Vice President of Técnico for Business Interface, Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Manager Flor Silveira, Head of the Human Development team at Axians and the jury for the presented projects, composed of Professors Pedro Gomes and João Xavier representing Técnico, and Engineer Daniela Moniz representing Axians.

On this occasion, a donation was also made to support the improvement of the course unit’s teaching quality.
