Former DEI student receives "Best Portuguese Internet Research of the Internet Society 2024" award

Daniela Lopes, a former student at DEI, was awarded the "Best Portuguese Internet Research of the Internet Society 2024" on the 11th of December for her paper titled "Flow Correlation Attacks on Tor Onion Service Sessions with Sliding Subset Sum." The article was co-authored by Professor Nuno Santos, also from DEI, and Nicolas Cristin, from CMU.
The award ceremony, held at the Alameda Campus of Instituto Superior Técnico, was preceded by a panel on the theme “Cryptography: the Need and the Dilemma,” featuring Professor Miguel Correia from the Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI).
