Ricardo Antunes, a Master 's student in Computer Science and Engineering, was the winner of the Prémio de Mérito NOS em Computação Paralela e Distribuída for the 2023/2024 academic year.

The prize, worth 1535 euros, was awarded on the 4th of April in the DEI meeting room.

Present at the ceremony were: Rogério Colaço, President of Técnico; Pedro Amaral, Vice-President for Corporate Interface, Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Daniel Gonçalves, Vice-President for Education at DEI; José Monteiro, the professor responsible for the course; Luís Miguel Santo, Técnico alumnus and Head of Radio at NOS; Cristina Estevão, Head of Recruitment at NOS, among others.

The event also included a donation of 1025 euros to DEI, aimed at improving the quality of education.
