Lourenço Matos, a DEI alumnus, was one of those selected in 2025 by the “la Caixa” Foundation for postgraduate study abroad scholarships.

The scholarships, with an average value of €100,000, recognize paths of academic excellence in specific fields and are intended to cover tuition fees, accommodation, travel and supplementary training. Portuguese and Spanish students who wish to pursue master’s degrees, PhDs or predoctoral research lasting up to 24 months may apply. The program includes destination universities in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
