Thesis Abstract:

Nowadays, many studies in games and education have focused on adapting content to the players/ students preferences and needs, so that ability/ skill is fostered. We believe that in multiplayer games and group education scenarios, the success of an individual is highly influenced by its integration within a collective, and therefore complementing individuals should work and play together. With this in mind, the present research project focuses on how to provide research methodologies assessing the management and promotion of interactions in groups, with the hope of empowering collective learning. In order to do so, a model for managing groups and computing group-tailored interactions is being developed, as well as ways to promote certain interaction styles in a collective.
