The Master Talk on the challenges of Computer Engineering, given by Full Professor Arlindo Oliveira on the 16th of November 2023, is now available to everyone through the Master Talks playlist on DEI's YouTube channel.

During the event, Professor Arlindo Oliveira provided a brief review of the history of technological advances in computing and artificial intelligence. He covered topics such as statistical language models (like ChatGPT) and various types of algorithms for describing and generating images. Additionally, he highlighted the opportunities offered by the Master's in Computer Science and Engineering in areas such as vision, medical diagnosis, game development, bioinformatics, artistic and building creation, language processing, deepfakes, cybersecurity, autonomous driving, and data science.
