Inês Lynce appointed to the National Council for Science, Technology and Innovation

On the 5th of November, Inês Lynce, Professor at DEI, President and researcher at the Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores: Investigação e Desenvolvimento (INESC-ID), was appointed to the Conselho Nacional de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (CNCTI), the Government 's advisory body on science, technology, and innovation, working closely with government members responsible for the areas of economy, science, and technology.

Inês Lynce is also the current co-director of the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Portugal partnership. She received the 2008 Deloitte-ULisboa award and the 2009 PremeIA award from the Associação Portuguesa de Inteligência Artificial. She will co-chair the 2025 European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI) programme.
