The conference "How will Artificial Intelligence revolutionize Academia and teaching methods?" took place on the 8th of May at the Técnico Innovation Center.

Starting from the practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning (and establishing, from the outset, the existence of a "before" and an "after" the massive availability of technology), the debate focused on current and foreseeable changes in education.

Does AI increase equality in access to education? What academic assessment will be possible in the future? Can machines replace teachers? What professional future awaits students? These are some of the questions addressed and reflected upon by the participants.

Conducted by Victor Oliveira Ferreira from the "Público" newspaper, the event featured the participation of various speakers, including Sancha Barroso, Master's student in Computer Science and Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico.
