On the 13th of November, students from Vilamoura International School visited DEI.

The visitors were welcomed in the new Software Engineering Lab, where they had the opportunity to get a close look at technology developed in the department and now used in everyday life. In this way, it was demonstrated in practice how it is now possible to ensure the origin of Fundão cherries and dried fruits by reading a code on the packaging using a common smartphone.

The presentation was conducted by Professors Miguel Pardal and Sofia Pinto, along with former student Francisco Faria.
