Bio: Paulo Dimas is the VP of Product Innovation at Unbabel, contributing to building the world's first Language Operations platform combining AI and human intelligence. Joining when Unbabel was a 12 people-strong team, Paulo has been creating new game-changing AI products that have been driving innovation and growth through 3 series of funding, totalling more than $100 million. His contributions helped Unbabel to reach the top 3 of the World's Most Innovative Companies in the Enterprise category by Fast Company (in 2020). Paulo is also the CEO of the Center for Responsible AI, a consortium led by Unbabel joining AI startups, research centers, a law firm, and industry-leading companies with the mission to spark the next generation of AI products driven by the principles and technologies of Responsible AI.

This talk will introduce the Center in the context of this new era where millions of people have discovered AI. We will discuss why Responsible AI is now more important than ever for addressing AI risks, and how the Center's innovation model is being applied. The progress made will be presented through some of the AI products currently in development.
