Título: Programme Shaping the Future

Resumo: In 2015, Instituto Superior Técnico launched the programme Shaping the Future (https://shapingthefuture.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/en/), bringing together a set of mechanisms unique within the Portuguese university system designed to support Assistant Professors and Researchers during their probationary period. The programme aims to promote the full integration of tenure-track faculties and researchers into the academic life of Técnico and its departments, to convey ethical values and institutional best practices, and to provide a strategic perspective on career development. These objectives are achieved through a wide range of coordinated initiatives, which will be presented and discussed during the talk. Any suggestions on how to improve the programme will be most welcome.
