Seguindo a tradição do Departamento de Engenharia Civil, no dia 12 de janeiro, com início às 14h30, no Pavilhão de Civil do campus da Alameda (sala V4.41), decorrerá um Seminário/Aula Inaugural da docente Mariana Pestana, partilhada entre o DEI e o DEEC.

O evento terá como tema “Architectures of Conviviality: Towards a Posthuman Spatial Practice” e tem o seguinte sumário: 

“What can architecture tell us about the transition from a humanist world to a post-human paradigm? And in turn, what does post-humanism reveal about the architecture we make? This seminar presents an interdisciplinary research process developed around these questions introducing spatial practices that adopt a critical position in the face of the present multi-crisis, recognising interdependencies between people, animals, stars, technologies, minerals, and other forms of existence. It shares methodologies grounded in listening, empathy, and fiction, employed to imagine the world from other perspectives and to rehearse ways of designing more-than-human conviviality.”
