“HackEurope 2026” was the inaugural edition of Europe’s largest student hackathon and brought together young programmers and designers for a 30-hour event on the 21st and 22nd of February, 2026.

DEI was represented in Dublin by students Duarte Cruz and Daniel Borges (both with experience in similar events).

The department takes great pride in seeing its most dedicated students take part in such an academically enriching experience, which also reflects the high quality of DEI students.
