Applications and nominations are open until the 15th of September for the 10th edition of the Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Award, promoted by Instituto Superior Técnico.

The award comprises two categories, Alumna Role-Model and Young Alumna, recognising outstanding professional, social, scientific and academic achievements of Técnico alumnae.

Established in 2016, the award pays tribute to Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo, a Técnico former student and the first woman to serve as Prime Minister of Portugal.

In the 2025 edition, Susana Monteiro, a DEI graduate, was honoured in the Young Alumna category.
